About the event
At this meeting, an experienced guardian ad litem, Nicole Nolan will help foster parents understand the role of a child’s attorney and or guardian ad litem. Iowa law requires that children in CINA cases have legal representation. Children are required to have both an attorney and guardian ad litem. Participants in this training will learn the role of the attorney for the child in a CINA case as well as the role of the guardian ad litem. The stages and hearings throughout a CINA case will also be explained.
