About the event
Together, we’ll talk about the different types of grief that often go unnamed in foster care—including anticipated grief, disenfranchised grief, and ambiguous loss—and why recognizing them matters so much. We’ll also explore how friends, family members, and support networks can better “wrap around” foster families in meaningful ways during hard seasons.
This session offers language for what you may already be feeling, practical ways to support the people you love, and thoughtful book recommendations to continue learning and supporting those you love after the training. Whether you are a caregiver or someone walking alongside one, you’ll leave feeling more equipped to notice grief, name it, and respond with care and connection
